Zoi KontakouAssociate
Zoi, a Chartered Counselling Psychologist accredited by the British Psychological Society, completed her psychology and counselling training in London.

She practices using cognitive behaviour therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and person-centered therapy. Furthermore, she also practices Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), following her advanced training at the REBT Albert Ellis Institute in New York. She is accredited as a CBT psychotherapist with the BABCP and is HPC registered.

Apart from face-to-face therapy, Zoi also provides telephone and online counselling and is able to provide therapy in Greek.

Experience

Zoi has built up an extensive clinical experience in delivering evidence based therapy that suits the individuals’ needs and goals. Zoi has worked clinically in a range of settings for over 10 years.

She has significant experience in the NHS offering evidence based psychological therapies for patients with moderate to severe difficulties (i.e., anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, relationship difficulties, panic attacks, post traumatic stress disorder, eating disorders).

Following this, Zoi worked in private practice as a CBT consultant for over three years with the Group Analytic Practice in central London. She has been a consulting psychologist with Flower Associates International for the same period of time, where she is based in the City of London.

Since 2005, she has been working at University College London providing evidence – based cognitive therapy and has developed and delivered stress management and anxiety workshops.

She provides specialized training in CBT to other professionals at UCL and is working with groups for personal development in the public and private sectors.
